Sonora Man Arrested for Possession of a Stolen Motorcycle
On the evening of Monday February 1st, 2021, the Sonora Police Department arrested 25-year-old Shae Phillip Green of Sonora for being in possession of a stolen Honda CRF50.
The motorcycle was reported stolen on January 31 and was taken early Sunday morning from the back of the victim’s pickup truck, which at the time was parked in a public lot in Sonora.
On Sunday evening, we received a call from the motorcycle owner who spotted it in the back of a U-Haul pickup in the Lowe’s parking lot. The bike was returned to the owner, but officers could not locate the person associated with the U-Haul.
Officers learned that the U-Haul was rented to Shae Green and that he had been associated with the vehicle earlier that same day. Later that evening, officers located Green at a hotel in the 400 block of Stockton Road and arrested him for felony possession of stolen property.
