Re: Police Sergeant Job Description
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Sonora City Council approve the updated Police Sergeant job description, dated September 19, 2005 as presented.
BACKGROUND:
With the upcoming Sergeant recruitment it was necessary to review and update the current job description for Police Sergeant.
DISCUSSION:
The bulk of the changes are the addition of job requirements that the Sergeants are currently doing that are not listed in the current job description. The most important change is the requirement of a Police Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Intermediate Certificate at time of application. This is currently the industry standard.
