Re: Computer Scanner Purchase
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Council approve the purchase of one Fujitsu Scanner in the amount of $1,229.72 from Measure I funds. Account # 403-10413-211.
BACKGROUND:
In 2005 the Police Department purchased two Fujitsu Computer Scanners to assist in migrating to a paperless system by July of 2006.
DISCUSSION:
The July 2006 date is still a reality but we now realize the department needs a third scanner. The two scanners we now have are in patrol, one needs to be purchased for Investigations.
The
purchase should be with Measure I funds. These funds can be used for technology.
The cash balance in this fund is approximately $185,000.
